Overview of Transaction

Buyside target search for Destinations of the World, a leading B2B travel accomodation aggregator based in Dubai and owned by Gulf Capital. 

 

We worked with our client on their buyside search

  • Shortlisted 17 companies to contact in 8 countries in Asia Pacific

  • Organized high-level meetings with 10

  • Further shortlisted to 4 companies for detailed analysis

  • Final decision to acquire South Korea-based Bico Trip

 

Value-Add
  • Took the initiative and lead in converting target's responses to the Info Request List into client-friendly Excel Datapacks and presentations

  • Performed multiple scenario analysis for the HK target for various sale permutations involving their ancillary coach and property assets

  • Language skills - both Mandarin and ma ma dei (so-so) Cantonese - in dealing with Chinese-speaking counterparties in Taiwan and Hong Kong

  • Held the fort for Eric by entertaining clients 1-on-1

A Two-in-One Business Trip
  • Before our trip to Taiwan to meet some potential targets, tasked to work on an additional pitch for Taiwanese solar power company NexPower in ~3 days prior to our trip to Taiwan
